We share some of our favorite highlights from Stommish at Lummi Nation this year. Always enjoy the creative offerings from Jason LaClair, Creative Cuzzin, Copper Canoe Woman and SiLowLeetSa Arts throughout the year. And definitely appreciate the work Lummi Sxwilisen Group does in the supporting the community in sobriety journeys.
Stommish is a gorgeously lively water festival event bringing the intertribal community together for canoe races, stick games, dancing, fresh fish, art and plenty fry bread Indian tacos. It is an endlessly uplifting reunion to begin the summer and in preparation for Canoe Journey. There's no overstating the beauty and joy of this annual event. General non-Native populations are welcome, but numbers in attendance tend to be low.
